Emma Louise Spencer

Emma is the newest member of our team joining in October 2021. Her passions resonate within the outdoors focusing her photography around landscapes and wildlife.

Emma started her photography career through her education, studying photography at Myerscough College and then furthered her education at Uclan in Preston. During this time, Emma assisted in the production of billboard images which advertised the new enginering building at Uclan, assisted in the production of headshots for Penguin books, and flew to Azores to photograph marine life for a childrens book! Emma has also been published in Lancashire life magazine, photography for beginners and the national student magazine.

To further develop her experience, Emma took an internship as a Media Development Officer at Uclan in 2019 where she continued her love for the darkroom which inspired her to progress into the educational sector where she currently holds the position of Photography Technician. In addition, Emma also runs photographic workshops within the pendle area focusing on alternative processes as well as volenteering for Obscura Darkroom.

Her passion is in alternative processes, with particular love for cyanotypes. She predominantly shoots on 35mm, medium format ,and digital.
